WO# print out on our PO
05/10/03 at 11:59:24
Is there a way to make the work order number that you enter on each line print out on the paper PO?
Sometimes we don't realize our guys forgot to put a # in the WO field until after a receiving report is finished.
Thanks,
Laura

The latest PO RTMs contain the Work Order number as an invisible field in the line item region. Copy the appropriate RTX to RTM to get the latest, then use Modify Forms to make the field visible and place it where you want it.

We use IBKPOB1.RTM to print our POs.
Where are the latest PO RTMS? Should I find them in the MODIFY FORM AREA. There are no RTXs there at all.
I went to IBKpoB1.rtm and looked under subreport. I saw nothing that looked like a WO#, and everything was visble.
Thanks,
Laura

There should be a file named IBKPOB4.RTX in the DBAMFG folder which is the latest version of the RTM. You need to make a copy of it and rename with an RTM extension so the Modify Forms lookup will see it, it is only looking for RTM files.

If you use Windows explorer and go to the DBAMFG directory you will find a bunch of files with the extension of .rtx.
I would move your current ibkpob1 form out of the DBAMFG directory to somewhere safe, then rename the ibkpob1.rtx to .rtm. Then you can use modify forms to open it and see if that form has the WO number. I'm pretty sure it is in pob1, but it is definitely in pob4.

I copied bkpob1.rtx and renamed it blpob14.rtm , and now I CAN find it under MODIFY FORMS...... But ...... I still can NOT find the WO field.
Is it under subreport or child support?
Thanks a million!!! I had gone into Explorer once before when Lynn instructed me to change some files to "I" so that tax codes would print out. For some reason I needed the Int version.
Thanks so much,
Laura

Lynn,
I will be retiring our old email address of DPinc@Mindspring.com in a few months.
Please activate my new email address of DPI@bham.rr.com.
You can send the file on either.
Thanks,

What have I done wrong?
I went into IBKPOB1.RTM, and then to the ppREPORT1subreport1, and found the WO field in the top right hand corner. I left clicked it and checked visible.
I then saved it.
I went back and tried to print a PO and got this message:
The report file name 1bkpob1.rtm could not be found/run.
Does it matter if it is RTM or rtm?
Thanks,
Laura

When you save an RTM and you are on one of the sub-reports rather than the main, you lose connectivity from the system logic to the report. Re-copy the one Lynn sent you into the directory and go to the sub, then make your field visible, then make sure to go back to the main tab and THEN save.

Did you click back to the MAIN tab before saving?
If not, it pretty much wipes out the form and you'll have to copy it from the .rtx form, rename it to .rtm, make your change (don't forget to go back to main), save it and try again

Are you using the DBA Modify Forms in TAS 5 or the TAS 6 editor?
