PO-C

When we try to lookup a po  the lookup feature is no working.  For example if I use the number keys at the top of the keyboard and type 10718 the lookup starts to search as I type each number and stops on 8803 (this is just for example) and will not go down beyond that point.  Consequently we have to scroll to the po we want which takes a lot of time.  Also for some reason this file has a bunch of PO's at the beginning of the file that are records will all zero's  Whats up with that?

In Enter P.O., The lookup feature works to the extent the PO is open.  It gets you to the closest number.  However, that might have been a fix by ISTech Support.

We continue to have a problem with the zero purchase orders and had no solution from the forum when previously addressed.  We think they come up when we exit a po that we do not save, but we are not sure.  Couldn't nail it down 100% of the time.   You can just delete them out.

The only way I found to deleate them was in Maintain Database one record at a time.   The last time I did this we had over 100 of them.

I have been able to delete the Zero PO's in PO-A.  Just highlight them (one-at a time-unfortunately), there is a delete key at the left bottom of the screen.  This is probably a lot easier than maintain database.  We just keep up with it every couple of days.

The same kind of thing happens in Contact Manager, and you have to use Maintain Database to get rid of them.

The zero P/O come from when you enter  a new P/O and you enter the P/O #. If the system picks the next number your ok, no zero p/o to delete.

I asked a question about these phantom PO's in March on the Crystalreports group.    I got the following answer:

RE: PO-I-E rec' report includes ghost PO

That is not a phantom PO!!!. The report writer for the current version of dba was never completed when DBA and their vendor got into a law suit. Therefore, in order to print the sub total on the last line, the programmer has to print a zero po line to do so.
