Making Demo and Service Stock Un-Available
07/07/03 at 17:57:21

In DBA, is there any way to mark items (such as Demo and service stock) to be unavailable (ie to remove that amount from the available quantity).

These items may be still in use for regular production but should not be considered during MRP generation nor sales order allocation.

How do I get rid of them (without getting rid of them?)

Thanks,

Mike

You can set up an Inventory Location in IN-L-B called DEMO and transfer items to it, then exclude that location from MRP.  IS Tech is currently looking at smarter ways to allocate for Sales Orders that will also take Location into account, matching available stock based on the Location on the Sales Order.
