I have a 2000Pro PC that had 7.0 on it upgraded to XPPro without any problems. However, I have a new XP PC that it refuses to load on. Seagate tech support says it is not supported although you can try to install it in compatibility mode. No luck.

Since there is no longer a runtime (compiler) in 8.5 and 9.0, Seagate's recommendation is to buy their $2,200 solution! Yeah, rooight!

Anybody know something I don't about this situation?

Reply #4 - 08/15/03 at 10:40:26 I just installed Crystal Reports Professional 7.0 on a brand new Dell with XP Pro without any problems. Just put the CD in and away it went. What happens when you try to install? Is you new pc XP Home or XP Pro?
