Delete/Re-enter Labor

Need to know how the system handles labor.  Here is the situation:
Added labor through WO-M.
Transferred the hours to payroll.
Discovered an error and backed out the labor entry  through WO-F and entered the proper information.
Transferred the hours to payroll.
The negative or backed out hours did not transfer, but the re-entered hours did transfer, thus doubling up on the amount going into payroll.
Is this the way the system always handles the backout and reprocess?  Do we need to adjust the p/r hours each time we do an adjustment or is there a better way of handling changes?

Thanks

Yes, you should try to make any adjustments before you transfer to payroll or else you will need to adjust the hours in payroll.
