Supplemental fields in Pervasive?
09/05/03 at 00:03:16

Hello all,

I am working on a Crystal Report and would like to link in some supplemental fields.

Access works okay, but it seems that it would be more streamlined if I created my supplemental table in Pervasive.

I tried doing this through the Pervasive Control Center, but the tables do not show up in the Control Center after being created.

Anyone know a) If I should be doing this and b) How to get it done?

Sincerely,

Nick DeMarco

We have done this for some Access programs we have written in order to user the processing power of the Pervasive engine rather than running everything through the oDBC pipeline.

So, yes it is safe.  We would be happy to create what you would like for you.  Obviously there is a fee involved.

You can contact me directly if interested.

Thanks for the update. We are going to peruse the open forums so we can learn to do it ourselves.

Thanks,

Nick

Fair enough.  Be aware that it required a trained VB/MS SQL programmer about 1 week to figure out how to make it work properly.  Might take you a while....

But of course that is preferable to having professionals do it for you, while you concentrate on doing what you do best.
