Standard cost

Lynn, We are wanting to start using standard costs rather quickly.  To begin we want to just plug in a number that we have gathered based on work order history.  There is no place to enter just the one number.  We are forced to do a rollup and we don't have all the information in routings and bom.
We thought FIXSTD would allow us to just put in the total standard cost per unit figure.  But it doesn't.  The guys that have used that before said they were able to do that.  Now it won't let us.   We need to be able to just enter the one number and not do rollup.

So, why not just export all the items you want to add standard cost to into an Excel sheet, put in the standard costs, and then import that back in?

There is a procedure that works to do this in a way that accomplishes this sort of field value replacement "fake-out" with DBA. Search through this forum for replacing part numbers or something similar and you should find Lynn's step-by-step to this.
