Box 10 Dependent Care
01/26/04 at 11:58:18

in processing the W2's = noting that box 10 for dependent care is empty.  we have a specific # deduction  for dependent care in the cafeteria plan, but in the screen that sets-up the W2's, it asks for ALL cafeteria plan deductions together, which includes medical insurance premium and medical out of pocket expenses filtered through the cafeteria plan (i.e. I am not sure where dependent care deduction would be entered on it's own....)

does anyone know if dependent care must be entered in box 10?  this is the employee's deductions that have been reimbursed to them.

if it needs to be there - how do you get the figure in to the box?!

thank you!!!

That is the problem I was pointing out in this thread:
http://www.istechforum.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?board=DBA_PR;action=display;num=10703 38228
At the time, I could not remember the specifics.

We end up manually typing in the Dependant care amounts.  Yuck.   Sad   You need to be sure and update the Subtotal W2s also, in addition to the total.

Be sure NOT to include the Dependant Care deduction number in the list of cafeteria deductions when you print the W2s.
