Last Cost - PO Conversion Factor
02/12/04 at 07:20:09

I'm having problems with the last cost that is automatically assigned in the PO-A screen.

For example:  We purchase steel in FT, but stock in IN, so the PO Conversion Factor is 12.00.

When the PO is received, it is automatically converted to IN by dividing by 12.00, this rounds off to four decimal places.

The next time the item is purchased, the last cost (rounded) is multiplied by 12, now the cost on PO-A may be off by a few cents.

I realized that this can be avoided by using PO-H (Enter Vendor Prices) but, material prices have been so unstable lately, it's impossible to keep up.

Is it possible to round off to more decimal places
"behind the scenes" so the last cost will be accurate every time?
