Price Changing (Read 1606 times)

DELTA Browser I love YaBB 1G - SP1! Posts: 27	Price Changing 02/20/04 at 12:43:56 Sometimes when I enter a sales order and after I enter the part number and the price pops up automatically and when I get to the price and just press enter the price changes to a lower price even though it's not the right quantity for a discount.

So when adding a sales order and I put in qty of 1 the price jumps to 275. Where only an order of t 3, 4 or 5 should get the discount. Right.

Our problems occurred in the way contract prices were entered. It is really a pain. We do not have one piece prices but usually start in the 100's

In order to "flag" us if a quantity is ordered that does not have a price break, we entered 99999.99 as the base price. If the price breaks are 400, 600, & 1000, the contract price entry looks like the following:

Base price 99999.99
399 99999.99 (flags us for an ineligible price)
599 14.39 (anything between 400-999
will get this price)
999 13.98 (anything between 600-999
will get this price)
99999 13.68 (anything over 1000 pcs.
will get this price)

This pulls in the right amount for our sales orders but
it takes someone being on their toes to enter it properly.
Maybe someone else has a better way.

We do the same thing, except that we only use a base price of $99.

BTW, the last line only needs to have an qty of one more than the next to last.....

Yeah, that what it looks like. Then when I enter a so, while cursor is in qty and I input 1 piece, the price shows 300, and as I press enter thru price it changes it to 275.00. Then I edit it and save and it's OK. But if I don't catch it the customer might get a discount.
