Customer deposits not showing up in bank acct. (Read 731 times)

jsapp Browser Posts: 22	Customer deposits not showing up in bank acct. 03/03/04 at 09:16:09 Since we installed the update, we entered a customer deposit and invoiced. Invoice zeroed out like normal, however the deposit did not show up in the bank acct. nor did it show up on the GL trans. report.

There are 2 sets of transactions involving the Deposit - the cash receipt when it is entered and then the application of the deposit against the invoice. Are you saying none of those transactions are posted? What do you see if you run the CR and RS journals for the date(s) in question? I use deposits all the time and haven't seen any posting problems.

It was not listed on the GL-D for CR, but it was on the GL-D, RS. I ran a GL-E for the customer deposit account and it shows up on the RS as a debit, but the CR said "there are no transactions for this period."

I just tested the scenario in Test Co. and it posted to both journals. Could this just have been a hiccup and now I need to do a GL entry to get it straight? I'm assuming the entry would be a Credit to deposits and a debit to the cash acct?

Reply #5 - 03/08/04 at 12:51:52 As I look further into this problem, I've discovered that when I do an AR-Q and go to the credit info, it shows an outstanding balance in deposits. However when I do an AR-Q-AR trans. it shows the deposit applied. Any advice Lynn?
