Purchase order/service vs. purchase
03/24/04 at 09:59:45

When entering a "manual" purchase order (using a different number than the next assigned p.o. number) it is not giving us the choice of a purchase or service p.o..  It automatically makes the p.o. a purchase and we can not override it.  This did not use to be the case.  There was a time when I could enter a manual p.o. and it would give me the option of either p for purchase or s for service.  We need this option back.  I have a manual p.o. to enter and it won't let me make this p.o. a service p.o..

Check your defaults in System Manager - System Defaults - Purchase Order defaults. Look for "Allow Service PO's? " If set to "N", you can change it. If already set to "Y", sorry I can't help you.

Make sure you have the latest IS Tech update installed.  There was a bug in that area that has been fixed.
