Inventory deassignment by location
03/25/04 at 20:30:39

I previously assigned inventory to a new location by class and now have many items I do not want at that location with a 0 quantity.  How do I delete these items from that location? I cannot tranfer as there is no quantity.

You could use Maintain Database on the BKICLOC file and delete the records but the fact that they exist really doesn't hurt anything.

THE PROBELM ARISES WHEN I WANT TO DO A REPORT BASED ON WHAT IS IN INVENTORY AND ALL THESE ITEMS COME UP. I NEED TO PRINT THE INVENTORY VALUE REPORT WITH ZERO INVENTORY IN CASE SOMETHING WE STOCK AT THAT OTHER LOCATION HAS NOTHING IN INVENTORY. I CANNOT FIND ANOTHER REPORT THAT WILL TELL ME WHAT IS ON HAND AT A SPECIFIED LOCATION.  EVEN THE INVENTORY VALUE REPORT DOES NOT DEDUCT ITEMS ON SALES ORDERS.

You also can delete items from locations
by going to IN-L-B (ENTER/ASSIGN LOCATIONS).

Enter location you want and say yes to (SAVE MASTER LOCATION).  Next, enter the item number you want deleted and say yes to DELETE; it is gone!

Hope this helps.
