PRE-TAXING HEALTH INS (Read 1344 times)

RAGINE Full Member I love YaBB 1G - SP1! Posts: 150 Gender:	PRE-TAXING HEALTH INS 03/26/04 at 15:11:26 All of our employees pre-tax their health/dental ins, we now have 1 employee that does not want his pre-taxed. My question is, I have the default set up to Y on pre-tax, so how do I not pre-tax one employee? I can not get up to that info when I try to edit since the default is Y. Ragine

Maybe the employee just got hit with a tax due for last year and wants to make sure more is taken out this year. That can be accomplished with an additional flat amount of withholding per pay period rather than setting up a new deduction. By tax law, the deduction is Pre-Tax so you really shouldn't set it up otherwise (my opinion) - legal disclaimer - I am not a CPA or Tax Advisor, you should consult yours.... Tongue
