I'm wondering if there is a way for the same parts that have the same routing information (sequences) to be on the same work order? For example we have 25 different part numbers, however all the operations are the same (cut, stamp, drill, etc…) and they travel through the shop on the same cart. For employees to fill out labor they have to do two parts (for the first operation about 30 sec/part, total time about a min) then record the work order (5854-4 for example). Then do two more parts and then record the time for that operation on that work order (5854-5 for example). Seems like a lot of work recording labor information. Can a work order be made for all parts together? The only real difference in the parts is that the steel used to cut them is a little longer/shorter depending on the part number. This way an employee could just record the time it takes to do one operation to one work order instead of one operation to twenty-five work orders (for example 5854-1, operation 50, total time 25mins).
