TAS 6 form editor help
04/28/04 at 06:05:17

what settings will "stick" the group footer to the bottom of a form?  I find that it spaces itself below the last detail line.  I want it tied to the bottom. Is it in bottom offset, dynamic heighth, print position?  A little tutorial would help in using the editor.

I agree also!!!  I was trying to use it yesterday but gave up in frustration.  It's a great tool... now if I could just use it.   Smiley

It would be a lovely Christmas present.  I haven't really been able to use this since we bought it.  I also gave up in frustration.  I go back to Classic DBA and edit those forms but that's not what I want to do.

To answer the original question, the way I have mine set is Dynamic Height, and then under Position I specified the Height & Print Position. I know I had to play with it a while to find what worked, but it does.

Note that you will probably have to plan on using the margins of your most restrictive printer - for instance, just because your dot matrix printer can print 0" from the bottom, you have to account that someone may print it from an inkjet that has a 5/8" bottom margin.

My Invoice is set to Height of 1.1563, Print Position of 9.5936", and Bottom Offset of 0. I never figured out what bottom offset did, leaving well enough alone.

I couldn't agree with you guys (and girls) more.  There's nothing worse then paying for something that you can't use.

Lynn,
I am also looking for a user's guide or tutorial.

As a start, I found the help file for the Report Builder that the Forms Editor is based on.  Posted to www.istechsupport.com/dl/rbldrhlp.zip.
