We have a 3 user per to peer lan.  When one of our users attempts to sign on to DBA, sometimes the blue sign-on icon comes up, but the box to enter your user name and password does not come up.  Instead, after some delay, there is a message box "IO Error 32".  When the error box is clicked to close it then there is a message "Access violation at address 00402EBC in module TP5WDBA.EXE Read of address FFFFFFFF".  When this error box is closed the user is in DBA "Form 13" with no user name or password having been entered.  At this point DBA is not responsive.  When the user closes DBA it will close, but the rest of the computer is hung.  When he tries to shut down he gets a message "DDE Server window not responding".  His operating system is Win 98.
 
What does he need to do to keep this from happening?
