Printing BOM on Traveler or Pick List
08/05/04 at 15:33:04

we are in the process of starting up the WO process, but for each item we make, we have several parts that I do not want to show up on either the traveler and/or the pick list, but I do want them allocated and issued in inventory.   I can make all these parts into some type of "kit" and it could show up on 1 line on either report if it had to.  What type of parts kit can I make that would do this.  I tried "B", but they print on both reports, I tried "k" but can't put it on the BOM of the parent part.
These are parts that are kept at the end of our line and I need something to give the parts room to pull all the other parts prior to starting the machine.  Thanks.

Not sure how you are going to actually issue the components (WO-G Kits or List or Backflush or what) but this would control the printing.

1.  Create an operation on the Routing called "Kit Parts" or whatever you want to call it for the components you want to pull at the beginning.  In BM-A, assign all the items you DO want to print to this sequence.  When you print the traveler, answer N to print BOM but Y to Print Materials in Seq.  Then only the items assigned to Seq 10 (or whatever) will print.

What are these special parts ? Smiley

I recomend that all parts be treated the same.
If you buy them they need a part number and a count.
