reporting prod. quantity..

Hi,
Does it make a difference if an employee enters quantity of production via DC-A if the material isn't being backflushed from any sequences? Material will be backflushed from Finished Production screen.

Thanks
Jim

It can.  If you ever want to run any labor efficiency reports or verify time standards, you need a quantity.  Also if you report Finished Production of partial work orders and allow the program to prorate the costs, it uses the quantity per sequence in the proration calculation.  The scheduling also uses the quantity remaining per sequence to determine the backlog at the work centers.
