If (as you do) you have the IS Tech updates installed, go to SD-Q, click System Manager and enter a 2 for configuration settings, and enter a password and Save. Then, in SO-C as well as SO-B, SO-F, BM-B and many other programs, if you slowly enter through the Y/N and other choices on the screen, as you come to the last line or 2, a Save Settings button will appear in the lower right corner of the screen. Click the Save Settings and you will be prompted whether to save your own personal settings (for your workstation only) or system global settings (for everybody). If you choose personal settings, they will be saved. If you choose system global settings, you will need to enter the password you saved in SD-Q before the settings will be saved.
