Invoicing from multiple locations
04/26/05 at 06:57:51

We are considering having each branch/location release and print their own sales orders/invoices.  Our question is if branches are releasing invoices at the same time and branch A prints invoices will it pull/print all invoices  that have been released or only those from branch A.  We don't want branch A printing branch B's released sales orders.

There is no way to segment that type of thing in DBA. If you ask DBA to print released SO's to invoice it will pull ALL of them.

Of course, Lorne is right.

However, if you have the ability to use Customer Class to define the branch, you can print Invoices by that criteria (assuming you are using a recent ISTS enhancement).

And since Location is a field in the Sales Order Header, it would be easy enough to add it as a filter in the invoicing process so only invoices assigned ot a given Location could be printed and posted.  So while Lorne is correct in that the current version does not have that capability, it is not impossible to add.
