Patches/fixes
06/01/05 at 09:03:00

I have noticed that there have been many patches/fixes since the last update.  Are these added to most recent update ( I have not updated yet), or do I need to download all the patches after I update?

I am really curious about this also, and have asked the question before in another topic in this forum (don't remember where) and never got an answer.

The answer is , no. The 5/17/05 update (unless we find a major issue) is the most current Official release.  We do continue to update and fix things on a daily basis.

We have recently devoted extra time to all the bug fix requests on the forum and posted responses that these things have been fixed. The people who initially requested the fixes can ask for a Beta copy to try it out but it won't be officially released until our next update this month.

I usually wait a couple of weeks before installing the latest update, by then most of the bugs have been worked out Smiley

I always wait to do the update because they seem to come out towards the end of the month and I always wait until the middle of the month to update; also I usually see a few bugs pop up in the forum.  My question though was if I wait to download the latest update until those bugs have been fixed with a patch, will the patch be in the update that I download and NovaZyg says  no.  So we really need a place where the patches are listed to make sure we get them all, if we don't want to wait for the next update to be posted.

I took it that he was answering no to "do i need to download all the patches"?

I agree.  I downloaded the complete update on 5/20 and again a few minutes ago. The file names are the same but the latest one clearly has some changed files, as recently as 5/23.

I re-read Allen's post and I think I did misinterpret- Thanks for setting me straight.   Tongue
It really doesn't  seem logical that IS Techs would fix a problem and not add it to the program download.

In this case, there were 2 problems that we discovered were introduced by the 5/17 update - one relating to Bill To address in SO-F and one relating to messages popping up in AR-E.  Both those were fixed and replaced in the zip file as well as posted in a file at www.istechsupport.com/dl/517patch.zip.

The other things that have recently had posts relating to things being addressed are things that have been on the list for a while and we are now getting to them as we put the next update together.  We have recently increased the programming staff so turnaround on these issues as well as new development should be much improved going forward.
