Batch Location Transfer Troubles
06/03/05 at 08:49:42

In Evo when you batch transfer and select the "Print Transfer Doc" When you save the transfer, the print dialog box goes all the way across the screen. When you hit OK the program freezes. It does save the transfer but you can't reprint it. When you go to reprint and do a lookup of transfers, it freezes and what you see is in a real funny order. Does that table need reindexed ? It does about the same in Classic.

Well I want back to a backup file set from 4 day's ago and the problem doesn't exist. It must have corrupted a file or two when it crashed/froze on that transfer. Any idea the effected file names, Hint Hint LYNN.

Thanks,

John

Still playing with it. It still has major issues. Mid way through a transfer that all have serials when saving the selected serials it pops out of the program with no items transfered. A one or two liner work so far but more than that crash. It will print a one liner when saving but you can't see it in the lookup screen on a reprint. It has no scroll bar to go down and putting in the number it says doesn't exist?

Are you transferring multiple items all having multiple Serial numbers (quantity >1 each)?

Yes. Multi line items with multi units each with diff. serials.
I played around and with no serials I can do infinite lines with multi Quan. each no ploblem.

Can you be more specific as to how the problem is occurring.  I tried 4 different items with at least 4 serial numbers each and all of them transferred without a hitch.

In EVO when you say Y to print doc in the check box. If I say N than the transfer goes. If you try to reprint the transfer and do a lookup it freezes. The transfer no. field has other than numbers in some fields. I don't get a scroll bar to see down the list, it is frozen and not responding. In Classic when you save a transfer with print doc Y it has an error dialog box that describes error reading report fields. If you say ignore to about a dozen or so errors it prints just fine. In EVO the F10 after you select serials is a bit out of whack. It aleays thinks you want to process the list. You have to say no to two different screens, but in classic F10 works as planned. I have had both Classic and Evo close the transfer screen when you hit F10 after serial picking.
What file are the transfer records stored in. Naybe a reindex of that file will help?

Thanks,

John

The files are LOT, SERIAL, INVTXN and BKICLOC.

For the freezing problems (in EVO) and the error dialog box (in classic), trying using the RTMS from the latest post.

The transfer list which has "other than numbers" and the F10 "after selecting serials" minor glitch will be fixed.

Cool Thanks Mike. By the way I have found out what was causing all the errors I was getting. EVO was calling ISINLM.RUN I changed it to T6ISINLM.RUN and it works and prints great. This is the first time I have made any changes to the programs called. Is their a list of the proper programs called for EVO. I find it strange that it is not set by default at install for the correct .RUN files?

Thanks,

John

There is a utility T6MENUUTIL.RWN that you can run at UT-A to change the menu calls for Evo-ERP.  A new install should come with the correct calls but it looks like I missed that one.  You can run the utility to make sure you catch any others.
