Form margins
08/05/05 at 06:48:07

I have tried for years (unsuccessfully I might add) to move the footer down closer to the bottom of the page on forms such as packing slips, invoices, etc....

no matter what I do it still leaves about an inch below the footer info.  This often causes for totals to print on PAGE 2.

First, find out your printer minimum margins and enter them in under File > Form Setup (assuming here you're in the Forms Editor) if you haven't already done that.

Right-click on the line below the footer that says something like "Group Footer[0]: ppReport1DBText6" and select "Position..."

1. The first entry is Height - you'll need that.
2. Put or leave Bottom Offset at 0.
3. Take your page height, minus your bottom margin, minus the Height in the first entry of this box, and enter the result in Print Position (you might want to reduce it by .0001 to make sure).

For instance, if your page height is 11", bottom margin is .25" and the Height of the footer is 1.75", put  8.9999 as Print Position.

Also, it should be set to Dynamic Height for some reason (at least, that's how mine is set).
