Fix GL Account Code? (Read 551 times)

Fix GL Account Code?

All,
 
Some entered a GL Account Code of 40551-0001 with no Department instead of the AC of 40551 with a Dept of 0001. The account is active and has entries.  
 
Is there any way to rename this and not lose the entries?

Create the new account the way you want it and then run AM-H to move the activity from the bad to the good.

You'll need to enter the correct account in AM-C first, then use AM-H (change GL account code).  That will move the transactions over to the account you want to keep and let you go back to AM-C and delete the incorrect account.
