Pick list prolem

A suggestion for the next update.

When we print a pick list for a WO or the BOM for a WO, there is no way to tell if an item is under serial control.

Our issue is that we have expesive motors, engines, and pumps that are under serial control and cheap one that are not.  The guys on the floor keep forgetting which ones are and are not under serial control.  I need a way for them to remember to write down the serial number on the BOM pick list for items under serial control.  Otherwise I have to hope the parent is available so I can get the serial number, or check the shelf and all possible pulls to figure out which one was used.

Something as simple as (sn) after the part number would be good.  The best would be a sperate line after the pull line to write down the SN.

Thanks in advance,

Tim

We don't currently use serial number control, but I would think that you would want the option of telling the floor the serial number of the item that you want pulled.  We use a custom-built refrigerator that is warrantied by the manufacturer (this is an item I am considering putting under serial control).  Due to this, we try to use the oldest first.  The possibility exsists that if stock is not rotated correctly, or the person pulling the stock is not attentive, you could pull the newest item out.  THe same could happen for items with lot control that have shelf lives.
