Adding items in SO-A
09/28/05 at 06:42:26

After installing the 9/25 update I am unable to edit the second (or thrid) line of a line item.  If I proceed in changing an existing line (other than line 1), it gets erased.
On new sales orders, If I add, insert or change a line a blank line is inserted.  Is there any way in correcting this?

As a quick fix, can I use an older copy of BKSOA.RUN?

Quick fix, go to older version of both BKSOA.RUN and BKSOA2.RUN or, if you have Evo, T6SOA.RUN and T6SOA2.RUN.

I will take a look immediately.

OK, I just tried, I can edit lines just fine in both Classic and Evo.  I changed a quantity and saved and everything is fine.  What exactly were you trying to do?

Thanks for the quick reply, Lynn.

We are using DBA Classic.  The problem appears while I am editing an existing SO and while adding a new SO.

I am trying to revise a description of a line item on a sales order.  The description fields on some of our items have 2 lines.  The first line of any item, if revised, retains changes.  Any revisions to the second line (either through add new sales order or edit existing sales order screens) are not retained and saved as a blank line.

Is there a configuration setting to change this?  Since it worked on another system, do you feel I have corrupted files? Below are the date and time stamps:
BKSOA.RUN    368kB, 9/22/05, 14:42
BKSOA2.RUN  394kB, 9/26/05, 17:14

OK, you are editing the second line of description - that is different from what I tested - let me take a look.

Lynn,
We are having similar problems. Cannot save additional description lines and are losing some specs in entering the order items.

Evo or Classic?  I did identify a problem editing lines when editing existing orders in Classic which the programmer is fixing but Evo seemed OK.  Again, 6/20 version of BKSOA.RUN and BKSOA2.RUN will remedy it for now.

Lynn,

We were using classic, and I did go to the 6/20 ver for a quick fix.

For those who may not have a copy of the 6/20 file handy, it has been uploaded to www.istechsupport.com/dl/925patch.zip.  Download and unzip to DBAMFG.

Download the patch file from www.istechsupport.com/dl/925patch.zip.  If you have not yet installed the 9/25 update, the post file has also been updated with the patch so if you have downloaded but not installed it, download it again.
