MS Exchange server

We are looking at changing our server to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.  I am wondering if anyone else is using an exchange server and having any difficulties/issues with EvoERP.  Any input would be appreciated!

MS Exchange Server is a messaging platform.  Maybe you mean Windows 2003 Server?

I've seen a couple threads here so there must be some users running Win 2003 and I haven't heard of any problems.

Windows SBS Server comes with Exchange and the unanswered post below is referring to that.

We run MS 2003 Server Standard Edition. It has been rock solid. The only issues we had were pervasive related that would crash the server. We had 2000I on the server and 8.5 on some of the newer workstations. Bad JuJu. Put all clients on 2000I and rock solid since!

Yes, that's what I mean, 2003 Server Standard Edition With MS Exchange 2003- I though I had read some forum entries about exchange problems and I think now they were related to email.  As for pervasive, I hope all that is necessary is that everyone be on the same version- we are running 8.5 now on a 2000 server and 8.5 on all the workstations.  I can't see that changing.
Thanks for the input.

This is unrelated to the original thread about MS2003 Exchange Server but a mix of PSQL 2000i server and PSQL 8.X or 9.X is (as you say) BAD JUJU (whatever JUJU is)

If the server is 8.X or 9.X the 2000 clients can't connect but if the server is 2000i and any workstations have the 8.X client, it will connect but cause all sorts of bad things to happen.  Unfortunately, the DBA 2004.1 update that was provided on CD (and maybe download, I am not sure) included the Pervasive 8.5 client in the PERVSIVE folder that gets installed under DBAMFG so you could be installing Pervasive 8.5 clients to new workstations with a 2000i server and not realize it.

Lynn,

That is 100% correct that the 8.5 clients were installed from the 2004.1 CD. Luckly I had an old backup set that I found the 2000i Pervasive client files in. The NTDBSMGR.EXE process would do crazy things to the server.
