Scrap% setup in BM-A (Read 654 times)

cswann Browser I love YaBB 1G - SP1! Posts: 31	Scrap% setup in BM-A 01/11/06 at 10:16:20 I have one bom part with 2.50% of scrap. It should be pulling a qty of 5904.00 & instead pulls 5907.69 The part number is in qty of eaches. We also are also using whole numers as scrap% & they calculate fine. Could it be that the scrap field can only pull correctly if whole numbers are used? Your input would be greatly appreciated.

I was working with adding scrap today and I wanted to add a 10% scrap factor. When I pulled a work order for 100 parts (which incidentally are measured as EACH) the system allocated 111.1111 parts. This is clearly not what my intention was. I can see what the system is trying to do but the math seems all wrong to me.

If I factor in 10% scrap and I want 100 parts then shouldn't I get 100 parts plus 10% (10 parts) for a total of 110 parts.

It also does not round to whole units so it is only appropriate for bulk materials.
