David is correct, It is a distributed storage box. As long as the LUN you setup on the VA is dedicated to the server running Pervasive you won't have a problem. However, Dont even think about using it for clustering! Pervasive can not handle fail-over so although your data will be available from the second server, the engine will not. The best part about using a snap server isthe ability to "snapshot" a LUN just before backup. what this does is allow you to backup all data on the drive even if it's being accessed! You never miss a file becasue someone has it open! Hope it helps, Tim
