tas-m forms editor
02/14/06 at 11:22:56

I am having such a blonde day!  While at the training session I tried to edit the forms for a shipping label - now I am back at the office asking myself how did I do that.  When I go to the System Manager menu, TAS-M I get an access violation error that I cannot get around.  I did it in class so I am guessing either something is wrong with my system now (having a few other bugs come up after changing from running a local version for testing at training to back to the client server version...)  or I have completely lost my mind...lol

Is there another way to edit the forms in EVO - better yet, thoughts on why TAS-M is giving me the groovy error?

Thanks in advance for helping the tired blonde!

You need to update to the latest version to get past the error.

But if you don't want to update (don't ask me why you wouldn't, just if) you can still edit forms - you just need to do it the old way. Don't remember the details, but it involved starting DBA with a different EVO that wouldn't do email. Then you could start the forms editor, leave it open when you closed the alter EVO and restart good EVO.

Get the update.

I haven't figured out my problem yet when editing forms, but it only works if I am logged in to my PC as system administrator.  Everyone else gets a violation.

That sounds like a permissions problem with your DBA folder. I believe all users have to have full control.

Changed permissions to full control (was almost to that level before) as well as tried logging in as the administrator - no luck  cry

Argh!  Any other ideas?  Thanks for all of the ideas though - the assistance has been greatly appreciated!

Check the modified date of the EVOERP.EXE in your C:\ISTS folder that the icon is pointing to - it should be September 2005, not something older.
