We received a serial numbered item when completing a work order. The person doing the transaction thinks they may have hit two keys at once when hitting the Enter key. Now there is no record in Inventory Transactions for the receipt, there is no Serial Number History when searching by serial number or work order number or Serial Availability. However when you run a Job Cost report, the report indicates that the product was completed and work order closed. The GL inventory account also has a debit for receipt of the item from the work order. The item is an intermediated product that now needs to be issued to a work order for final processing. How do I get it to show in Inventory Transactions and Serial History/Availability so I can issue it and keep my Inventory History and value correct?
