I would just upgrade to a version a little more current version. It will be well worth your while Grin

Yep, for what it's worth, Diala, we don't seem to be having the problem here.  It's worth it to do the upgrade.  It certainly has been for us!

Good Luck,

Val

We are having a similar problem, our version is 2004.1 w update through 5/8/06 - is there a solution to the problem?

Hi Robin,

You are having the same problem with the ISTech updates? Since when did it start and what is the frequency?

Whatever is causing this, I suspect it has been around for a long time because we have reports from both users on original DBA and users with IS Tech Updates.   We just don't know what.  Those of you that are seeing it - do you frequently delete part numbers in IN-B?  Or delete or change Manufacturer or Vendor cross references in IN-B or BM-K & L?  Our suspicion is that under some set of conditions, deleting an entry in one of these programs is going haywire and deleting other entries as well.  Nothing else really makes sense because no other programs actually update those files.  They just read them.

Lynn,

We very rarely delete vendor or mfg part numbers. But we do add on regular basis, almost daily. Now the time frame of loosing data is a matter of days and sometimes even minutes. I mentioned that earlier, some time last week, I myself, entered a vendor part number and went to do the PO, and it gave me the msg that vendor is not approved. I am sure I entered the information. I do not think its an indexing problem, because the records will just not be there... Do you have any suggestions? or things to look out for or test?

Regards,

Diala
