Hmmm, David, that's interesting. Even the help file gives a warning that some hitory files are be changed. However, from what you and John have said, something doesn't sound right on our end. When we changed the item name, ANY history from the old name was gone. I.e., if we tried to reprint an invoice that had the old part, the invoice came up empty. Also, doing any searching for the old part name came up empty, as in looking who purchased the part in the past. As a test, we took the "new" item name and renamed it back to the old name and BAM, everything was restored again. So, something is not transferring or updating correctly when changeing the item name on our system. Can someone please let me know how to address this? We have a fair amount of item names to change and if something is 'damaged' somewhere, I need to know a way to fix it.
