Evo update on windows 2003
03/27/06 at 10:32:09

We are trying to install update (issb22806) on a new server
running Windows 2003.

When we run UT-A EVOUPDSETUP. DBA cannt find the utility.

If we try to open f:\DBAMFG\EVOERP.EXE, we get error msg: There are users logged into the system. Please get everyone out before running this update.

The new server is running on a diferent network that the old server.

Any ideas??

Regards,

You aren't following the instructions.  There is no UT-A setup in the 2/28 update.  Follow the instructions in the PDF on the update page on the website.

A record was not found in FILELOC for file  ISSRINV.B -2.
There must be a record for each file opened.

The UPDATE process did not complete.  Reinstall it.  When it does both the Convert Condbase Dictionary and the Update, you should see it flipping through a number of files both times.

Lynn,

I had problems also.  It had to do with codebase and allen told me something to do that would ignore the codebase files and use the DBA files to rebuild them but I don't remember what it was.  I think it was something to do with TP2RUNTIME.INI and changing a parameter.

Only had to do it once and installs and operation are working fine.

Hope it helps,

Tim,

What I sent you was different. You were making changes to the FileLoc.DBF in TAS-F. I then had you run update manually (the INI that you changed) to flush your changes to the Btreive fileloc.

Lynn is correct. you need to run install over again and have it go thru clean.. no errors.

What update are you installing?  The Feb 28 update should be a recent date.  Re-download the update to be sure you have the latest file with any patches and try again.

Downloaded when?  When patches are posted, the main file also gets updated.  To be sure you have all the latest patches, always download the file when you are ready to do the update.  Don't download and then sit on it for weeks until you have time.
