Yes, I have installed it at several customers with no problems.  
 
I have seen some significant speed improvements between 2000 and 8 but not as measurable between 8 and 9.
 
IS Tech is an authorized Pervasive reseller so if you do want to upgrade to either 8 or 9, we can help.

We are considering upgrading our prervasive to 8 or 9. What is the cost? 5 users
