sure sounds like an interruption is occuring on your network traffic somewhere, either from a router recycling, or cabling problem, or some service restarting, etc. one thing you can do, which might help. in pervasive, is to turn the "auto reconnect" to on. you have to set that setting at both the server and on the workstation. that way, pervasive will do it's best at trying to maintain it's own connection to the server on the established protocol. it adds a lil bit to the overhead on network traffic. but i don't think it will be that noticeable. on client and server. start up the PCC, there on the start page of the PCC, is "configure microkernel router" select that. now select the "communication portocols" and place a check mark on the "enable auto reconnect". apply and close. once you make that change on the server, either STOP and RESTART both Pervasive Transactional and Relational Service, or reboot the server. on the client. just apply the changes. that should help. dave
