Plasma Cutting Machine

We have a plasma cutting machine. We load up an 8' x 10' steel plate and cut several parts from it. These parts are usually composed of a mixture of work orders that are nested daily for optimal material usage. What is the best way to report labor to each workorder when the quantity and mix of parts changes from sheet to sheet? What is the best way to report the plasma operator's time into DBA? Does that time need to be allocated to each work order? We have thousands of parts that we make. Opening, reporting labor, and closing each work order for all these parts is completely impractical. Do you have any suggestions as to how to best handle these kinds of parts?

clock into the parts you are making
have the system divide the labor  amoung the clocked in on parts.

thats the only way I know.

Other than assigning a fixed amount of labor to each part  but you still need to enter the wo and tell the system how many you made.
