SD-Q problem
05/05/06 at 12:47:58

Major problem in SD-Q/Sales I -

As I tab (or enter) through the settings, the ystem stops at Track Changes to Sales Orders and tells me " To enable this option you must first create the tracking files.  To do so you must be in the  default B company. Then from UT-A run UPDFILE, Select ISARCHG as the tagged file then press Process.  One this is done you then need to come back to this screen (SD-Q) and set this tlag to [Y]."

However,  I have already done that last year when this was first available!  Second,  even if you change it to N you can't get past it!

Third, When I run UPDFILE.RUN, I get "Warning: File . has a record type setting of " ". If this is a Btrive data file for use with the DBA system, this setting must be changed to "T". If this is not set to "T", UPDATE may not run correctly for this file.  Would you like to hav e tghis correction made for you now."

If I chose No, I get the same error over and over again.  If I choose Yes, after about 30 sec, I get "Error: there are no B99 records in the FILELOC.UPD file.  UPDATE cannot run without these entries.  Please contact DBA Tech Support for a new set of UPD files."

The other options is to run TAS-I, but I don't have a clue what it does or how to use it! there is no documentation in help!

HELP!!!!!!!!

Tim

P.S. I'm on the 5/1/06 build of EVO

Good news is, it is fixed.  Bad news is, it was a problem with a function in a library call that potentially affected a large number of programs, most with no error message.

As a result, we disabled the 5/1 update and have reposted a 5/8 update with the fix to all affected programs.

Kudos to Tim for alerting us to it quickly - active users are our greatest resource.

As I told Lynn,

It isn't a active user it was a stupid user tghat found the problem.  I had acidentally unistalled DBA from my server (long story but has to do with terminal sevices)  Unfortunatly,  I had deleted my last install code from the server also.  When I went out to download the 2/28 build,  it had been replaced with the 5/1 build so I had no choice but to install it.

Usually I install the new builds on a test server,  test and watch the posts for the next  two weeks for patches before rolling out.

Thanks to lynn for a quick response on fixing this problem!
