Continuing WO problems
05/30/06 at 07:14:41

I closed a work order for an assembly of 56 units.  The units do not show up in units on hand or the transaction file although they show up in the closed work order tab within Inventory Enquiry.   Has this been happening to others???  If so what do you do to fix?   Should I be running the inventory reconciliation process on a monthly or more frequent basis?

Did you close the WO without entering finished production?

What program did you use to close- at the end of finish production or the close work order program?  ON the closed work order tab in INventory Inquiry, does the Finished column have 56?

The work order was closed through finished production.  The work order tab in Inventory inquiry does report the 56 units completed - it just didn't add them to the on-hand quantity nor the transaction detail tab.

Have you looked at Maintain Database files?  I would be looking at BKICMSTR, MTICMSTR, and INVTXN.

The work order entry does not show up in INVTXN, and (as we would expect) is not reflected in the other two master files.

were materials backflushed or issued separate? Can you see the materials that were issued?

Only one material needed to be issued and was done so through separate issuance.  The material issued does show on various cost and material issuance reports.
