Custom Statements Help!!!
05/30/06 at 09:13:32

Our accountant is very upset at the disappearance of GL-N's Custom Statements we had set up. How do I get these back without having to re-do them in AM-F? I saw in a previous post something about the BKSF.LINE.NUM in maintain database, however I do not see that anywhere. Maybe I just dont understand what I'm supposed to do. Please Help!!!!!!! ???

I thought I read a thread about this. I think we have lost the look-up ability. If you type in the name of the report. it will print?

The custom statements are in a file called BKGLFSTL.Bxx where xx is the company code.  If you have lost this file and have a backup you can restore it. If you have other test or dummy companies  with the same info in the custom statements file you could copy and rename the file with the company extension you need.

Well I am sure glad it worked for you because since I updated this weekend I have the same problem!
I changed the program called to what it said in the "Menu Changes" list (t6gln.rwn) and when I ran the program I got a lookup screen similar to the IN-A lookup screen with what looks like each line of each report listed as a choice.  When I picked the first line of a certain report, it said that my reports were not formatted yet and I needed to go to GL-O( Print /Post GL Transactions!) to format them.  I changed the program called back to BKGLN.run and now all my reports are gone from the lookup list.  IN both my real company and two test companies.
It doesn't work to type in a report name.
I will try going back to the file in my backup copy from before the update.

Well that worked.  Glad I had a full backup of the DBA folder.
What should  the latest version of the program for printing Custom Statements be? What happened to my reports when I switched back to BKGLN.RUN?

Actually, the new program will work fine if you restore the BKGLFSTL.B* file (Custom Financial layout) from the backup.

The new T6GLN.RUN (Evo version) adds the feature of suppressing the prinitng of lines with no activity and also prints the statements to RTM so they can be emailed or saved to Excel.

I switched back to the t6 program and everything still works in my main company.  However the custom statement formats are still missing in my test company, so I will have to restore those too.
On problem with the editing using the t6 program-- the buttons at the bottom are truncated so that the add and edit buttons can't be seen.  Also I don't seem to be able to insert a line like I think I used to be able to.

Is anything being done to fix the custom GL reports program?  I mainly need to be able to insert a line.  Currently it is either delete or edit, and since the buttons are about an 1/8" wide, and my memory being what it is,I am having to guess which is which each time I use those functions.

It is a real bother to have to exit Evo, go into Classic and insert a line, then go back into Evo to print it with the current RTM to see if it is right.

This is probably low on your priority list and I appreciate any help you can give me.
