I wanted to setup finite scheduling in DBA Version 2004.1 with IS Tech Support Update 10/8/04. My question is, can I setup a shop calendar, work centers, and routings for my current part numbers and not affect the operation of DBA until I run the Finite Scheduling program.  
 
I was going to test the exact work center and routing configuration with a copy company but have decided that doing so would be a waste of time because of the amount of data that would have to be entered. I was going to test a small sample of the data in a copy company and if it worked do the bulk of the data entry in the actual company, so as to not have to do it twice. I was also wanting the change over from our company's current type of scheduling (manual) to the finite scheduling to go smoothly (wanted to be able to do it over night, so as to not affect production during any shift but 2nd or 3rd.  
 
Can anyone tell me if this will work?
