new rtm version of custom statement
07/05/06 at 07:19:10

I would modify this rtm to show the account name on a few custom statements, but not all.  I don't get to choose the rtm though, so I don't know the name of the rtm to modify.  If I find the name and modify it, all the reports using it will show account names since I can't choose.

What is the name of the rtm for custom statements?

Is it possible to add access to which one we are using for each report, as we have in other programs?

I assume you are talking about custom financial statements, since AR statements pop up a box with a default form name.

As far as I know, in any case where you are not offered the choice of a form there is no RTM, the report is a function of the program, and you can't modify it (unless you have the applicable programming skills and the compiler....).

Hey.. I have all that...  Grin

Cathy,

Depending on the number of columns you select and if you want percentages, it chooses different RTMs. In our next release I will see if I can Add the RTM selection screen so you can see what RTM it is picking.

Now that I have my forms editor back, I am trying again to get the account numbers and the descriptions to show up on the same report.  Apparently, the program that sets up the report allows either account numbers or descriptions, but not both. Can this be fixed?

I figured out how to show the description, but there are so many forms.  Did the latest update by any chance address the ability to pick which form to use?  I hate messing with the default until I know my new one is working.  If I can't pick then the only alternative is to modify the default file.  I could have renamed the original and then I would still have it but I didn't think of it until I had worked on a few of them.

It would be nice to know the answer to this by tomorrow since I will probably go ahead withthe update if this is fixed-- otherwise my plan is to wait until after inventory on Sept 1.

Well I figured out how to fix this report to show account descriptions, and changed a few other things as well.  Since I couldn't pick which report to use, I had to save it as the default T6GLN1.  Then I did the update and my beautiful report was replaced by the old one!

So I am asking AGAIN-- can this be fixed so that we can choose which report to use when printing custom reports as we can when printing other RTM reports??
