VENDOR PART #'S DISAPPEARING
09/09/06 at 12:53:08

don't know if anyone has had this happen but for the last 5 months i will go back to order an item from a vendor and the vendor part# will be gone , i will type it in again , save it and then walla, i go to buy it a week or month later and the vendor # is gone again, i thought it was a one time loss of info so i did not bother with it and figured i will just enter them in as i go but this has happened multiple times now, any ideas, if this has been brought up before i am sorry, i tried to search for it on the forum before i started this thread.

thanks in advance for any help.

Been discussed before. See June 14, same subject. No clue as to why this happens.

Yeah, if we could figure out what is doing it, we could fix it.

Hi,

We are still having the same problem. Sometimes I even loose the whole BKSBVEND table. Now I am doing backups almost everyday and update the lost records according. It also happens but less frequent to the BKSBMFG. If you have any ideas pls let me know.

Thanks,
Diala

Lynn,

We very rarely delete vendor or mfg part numbers. But we do add on regular basis, almost daily. Now the time frame of loosing data is a matter of days and sometimes even minutes. I mentioned that earlier, some time last week, I myself, entered a vendor part number and went to do the PO, and it gave me the msg that vendor is not approved. I am sure I entered the information. I do not think its an indexing problem, because the records will just not be there... Do you have any suggestions? or things to look out for or test?

Regards,

Diala

Vendor Part Dissapperaring....

We (being Mike) just found the bug with the dissappearing SBVEND records. It has been fixed and will be in our next release.  (This bug dates back to 2000).
