We have recently purchased the EVO system.  We like the e-mail capability.  We see many uses for the image links when they become stable.  I am trying to get all users to switch to EVO.  They do not want to switch because they say it is slower.  We are on a Novell server.  We use pervasive SQL 2000i (SP3).  We have turned off Symantec Antivirus for testing purposes only and that does not seem to make a significant difference.  Why would EVO be slower than DBA?

I felt the same way when I first started using EVO. It really is slower only if starting and closing each program as you use it. If you leave the programs running and find a way to stack screens so you can get to them as you need them, there doesn't seem to be any difference. The programs just take longer to load. I'm still hoping some day they find a way to have the screens cascade like they do in Classic DBA. Then I could start the five or so programs I use through the day and just leave them running. We get a lot of errors when exiting programs and this would cut down on those errors as well.
