PO Email Option
10/05/06 at 08:17:28

We cannot seem to understand how to email a PO that has been inserted, to a vendor.

We we go to print the PO, it gives the option "do you want to email" and we click Yes. Then it go's to a pop up  that reads List - Print - Disk - Cancel. No mater what we click on the email never pops up.

What are we doing wrong?

It may be helpful for us to help you if we knew what version you were on. Methinks you must be on an old one.

Is email working anywhere else in the system? Is your menu calling T6POB.RUN?

AFAIK in the current Evo, there are two ways to email from within the program.

1. When you open PO-B there is a button at the bottom that says "Email". Any time within the screen that you can see it you can click it and it will email all POs that meet the current criteria.

2. If you enter all the way through to the Print Dialog Box there are radio button options for Print Options:
Preview
Print
Email
File
Select Email and OK, and then the RTM selection dialog will come up (again). Press <Enter> or change the form and <Enter> and you should get the email dialog.

Thanks, Version EVO ERP 2006.1 05/08/06 Build 06/06/06.

All other Mods like SO and such, email works well, and have no issues, so the PO is confusting to me a bit.

No errors occur. When i open the PO-B i see the Email button below, but when clicking it, it gives me List - Printer - Disk - Cancel. If i chooes printer, then i will ask me, "do you want to email?"

If i say yes, it opens up a Listed Po Screen with nothing on it, blank, then closes.

If i print it, it prints fine, then closes, with no email option.

Wes,

Check your menu, make sure you are calling T6POB. use TAS-G and find the menu you are logged into, then edit user, select the mfg menu and the po group then press the menu lines button. check what program POB is calling  it should be T6POB.RUN

Wes,

Sounds like you may have your default report setting for POs to be a text rather than a graphical report format.  I would suggest checking your PO default settings (System manger, SD-C) and look at what is set for the PO print format number. Change it to a graphical format (like 4), save the settings, and try it again. I bet that's probably the issue.
