Part Type in a Report
10/11/06 at 09:18:56

I have a Crystal Report to print a BOM with special additions. This report is printed as a part of our WO packet that goes to the various internal areas for action. My problem is that sometimes the part type prints as a Type M, while everywhere I can look, it is a Type B. The file that the report originally accessed was BKBMMSTR and was linked to BKICMSTR. I changed to get the "Type" directly from BKICMSTR, and this appears to solve the problem. Can someone tell me if I have used the correct files for this information?

A potential problem is whether the way your report is written is referring to the Parent Part or the Component Part. The method of linking can also introduce problems. Once you verify you are referring to the correct part, BKICMSTR will give you the right type.
