Moving .B files to Default Folder
10/24/06 at 07:17:21

I'll be updating a company running 2002.4, with all their .B data files in the root DBAMFG folder. What is the procedure to  move the .B files to a new Default folder, and should I move them before or after the update?

Thanks,
EL

Easier to move before, assuming they are currently DBAMFG with no IS Tech updates and you will be installing the IS Tech updates as part of the exercise.

1.  Copy *.B from DBAMFG to new DBAMFG\DEFAULT folder.
2.  UT-D, click Chg All Locations, enter DEFAULT\ as the new Location and B{space}{space} as the comp code.
3.  Delete the *.B in DBAMFG EXCEPT do not delete FILE*.B, ERRMSG.B, USERS*.B
4.  Load the program and make sure the data is there and any other companies also are accessible.
