How to be sure we're using the most recent version
11/09/06 at 11:22:13

My question, which might have already been asked a hundred times, is: Newer versions of programs don't automatically get used in place of the old ones. For instance, T7INA didn't automatically supercede the older version. How can I be sure that we're using the most current versions? Is there a command to do so? A way to check? If this has been asked 100 times then please point me to the correct thread(s). Thanks!

Seems like this *DID* get addressed already. I searched the forums and came across a link to the evomenu.zip file with all the new files already in the menu. Problem solved!

Also, the ADMIN menu always has all the new programs so if you log in as ADMIN after an update you will see the new programs.

And didn't I read somewhere that if you log in as Admin, then the users with admin status will have their menus updated?

Or am I dreaming...

If they are designated "A" in PS-A and do not have a user menu defined in TAS-G, then yes, that is correct.

Lynn, I don't really get that-- I don't think Evo will let me sign in without an access code, so of course I have one set up in TAS-G.

If you create an access code in PS-A, then it can sign into Evo regardless whether an access code has been established in TAS-G.  If a menu exists in TAS-G, it will use that. If not, it looks to see if a Security Code has been assigned in PS-A (bottom of the screen).  So an "A" will get the ADMIN menu.  If no level has been assigned, the "USER" will be used.

So If I want my menu to be updated when I log on as admin, then I should delete my menu access in TAS-G?

Yes.  if you always want the full menu then erase your user name and use PS-A to assign user Cathy type A. then Evo will see there is not Custom Cathy menu and use the "A" admin menu.

I deleted my menu  and now I have the current admin menu.  One of the problems I see with this is that I can't go to the menu access program to see which version of a program I am currently using.  There is no list for the admin menu.

---- Also, I don't see how I can set which module I want to start up in...
