massive delay in so-a...

Hi all, hope you had a great holiday... got a real nutbutter for y'all to ponder...

I've been having a real problem for about a week in so-a, the start of which coincided with when our computer guru tried to purge our system of old sales data (prior to Jan 1, 2006). The system locked us out after he did so... and my understanding is that after he restored the files, it allowed us access again. After all the dust had settled though, I noticed that my computer is having two odd and very frustrating problems that it did not have before when processing sales orders-

1) when in an order, transfering between the header screen and the line item screen takes at least 40 seconds (before the 'purge' it was less than a second)

2) When saving and going to print a sales order, the transfer time between the header or line item screen (depending where I am when i hit save of course) and the print screen takes upwards of a minute, sometimes locking up completely. (Fortunately, it still always saves the sales order when it does this, giving me a chance to print it out later) I've also noticed the same problem when printing directly from the so-a opening screen.

any advice on the matter would be appreciated  Smiley

Hard to say what happened, but might be related to the same problem I posted on 12/11/06 about the same subject. There was a patch posted for this.

I had thought that it wasn't related, but when I asked our computer guru about that thread you mentioned, he told me that in addition to the purge (which we thought caused the problem), he also did the update mentioned in the other thread at the same time. Shocked

We downloaded and installed the patch, and all seems well. Thanks for putting me on the right track for that patch!  Grin
